Each client and project is unique and brings with
it a series of challenges and hurdles that we
must get through to create the best end all solution,
that is why at Myelo we have set up a process
that is flexible and allows us to focus on each
individual clients goals.
Discovery
The discovery phase allows
the team members of a project to develop a full
understanding of a client's short term and long
term goals, audiences and competitors. It also
allows the team to further define the challenge
and the direction and plan for the project to
proceed in. Deliverables for this phase include
some of the following:
:: Target audience and
competitor analysis
:: High-level business, technology & design
goals
:: Project calendar, goals, roles & responsibilities
:: Project extranet for open and easy project
communication
Information Architect/Prototyping
The architect phase builds
a blue print for the rest of the project. After
the discovery phase, the team has good directives
for creating a map or prototype that is unique
and extremely focused on the project goals and
needs. Deliverables for this phase include some
of the following:
:: Target user personae and
Use-Case Scenarios
:: Information Architecture and sitemap development
:: Interface prototypes(page schematics) for
both website and content management system
:: Print concept boards
:: Technology guidelines
Design
Once the blue print or prototype
is created, the team begins to build a branded
personae for the project. Using stakeholders and
users we explore different ideas. Then we refine
and expand upon the design until everything is
just right. At last we document the principles
of the solution or system. Deliverables for this
phase include some of the following:
:: Design concepts or prototypes
:: Style guide and production guidelines
:: Brand development and recommendations
:: Photography recommendations or photo-shoot
Build
During the build phase it all
finally comes together. We create and gain approval
on all final content and details of the project.
The production team begins to assemble all of
the pieces and the build team begins to put them
all together. Deliverables for this phase include
some of the following:
:: Creation of all support imagery,
iconic images and graphic elements
:: Editorial content
:: Creation of media rich files such as flash
or director files
:: Development of unique and custom content
management system/tools
:: Technical files in appropriate platform:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSL, ASP, .NET
:: Technical brief
QA
Testing is something we take
very seriously at Myelo. Throughout the whole
process our decisions and choices are tested and
validated, but here is where we put it through
the final grind. Internal Myelo team testing happens
first where we run a website through the user
scenario and on all of the proposed platforms.
For print projects we have our scrutinizing team
review the final proof for any missed detail.
Once it passes our test, it goes on to the client
team for their own testing. Only when everything
is good to go do we launch or print. Deliverables
for this phase include some of the following:
:: Internal QA testing
:: Soft launch QA testing support
Delivery & Support
This phase is when all the
hard work pays off. Deliverables for this phase
include some of the following:
:: Hosting maintenance
and support services
:: Search Engine Optimization
:: Overall technical support services
:: Content Management Training and support
